Whether you are interested in being a spelling bee champion or you just want to be less reliant on spell-checkers, this class can help you! Students will learn to improve their spelling with a variety of strategies. We will learn to group words into spelling-families. We will examine prefixes, roots and suffixes. I'm a former Spelling Bee champ :) with extensive study in etymology. Additionally, my experience teaching in special education classrooms gives me a great deal of experience in making academic subjects fun and accessible in a variety of ways to all learners.
Each class will have a print-out worksheet. Please access and print the worksheet from the class portal before class begins to participate in the class games and word study.
