In this one-time class, I will dictate a list of words to determine if the learner is able to spell at grade level. I will be looking at common orthographic patterns and spelling rules in order to pinpoint specific areas in need of remediation. I will briefly assess handwriting legibility, including spacing and letter formation. *Please note that class might run a few minutes short of 30 minutes or even a little longer than 30 minutes, depending on the speed at which the learner processes and writes. ***At the end of class, I will need a copy of the learner's paper sent to me.***

Grade-appropriate notebook paper or handwriting tablet, pencil with an eraser.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
