I will use a succession of increasingly challenging spelling lists that include short vowels, digraphs, long vowels, diphthongs, and more, grade-level sight word lists, and leveled reading passages with corresponding comprehension questions to determine your child's instructional reading level. I will then provide you with the results in a variety of formats including Lexile, grade level, age, DRA, and Fountas & Pinnell levels so you can make the best decisions for your child's reading instruction.Grading

Are you wondering if your child is reading and spelling at, above, or below grade level? Let me help answer your questions! Using a succession of spelling lists, grade-level sight word lists, and leveled reading passages with corresponding comprehension questions, I can see where your child's instructional reading level is. This level will be provided to you in terms of Lexile, grade level, age, DRA, and Fountas & Pinnell levels so you can make the best decisions for your child's reading instruction.

Supply List
We will be using the Zoom Whiteboard for the spelling portion of the assessment, but if your child would prefer, a dry erase board and marker or just a pencil and paper could be used. If either of these options are preferred, please have them on hand. If not, we will proceed with using the Whiteboard.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
