Who doesn't love a good guessing game? In this fun and interactive class, students will become word detectives. Each week, children will be given a set of letters and an opportunity to discover more about letter-sound relationships and how these relationships work in words. These activities will help...

This class is taught in English.

Students will practice spelling patterns.
Students will discover letter-sound relationships (phonics).
Students will build vocabulary.
Students will use new words in sentences to reinforce meanings.

Each Week, Students will have access to the following continued learning activities:
-two games of Kahoot!
-computer practice activity
-printable word sort
-FlipGrid challenge activity

Please bring notecards and a marker, magnetic letters, a whiteboard, OR paper and pencil.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Kahoot!
FlipGrid

Students will be assessed by the accuracy in submitted practice assignments. If you would like additional feedback on your learner, please feel free  to video your student as they interact with the instructional video and submit it to the teacher. I would be happy to provide feedback for any video submissions.

No live meetings, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
