Students will improve their painting techniques, learn how to mix colors, and gain confidence in the skill of painting. Student Interaction: After each unit students must upload a photo of their painting so that students can comment and express how lovely each art piece is. End of Units Challenge: Students will be required to upload a final piece at the end (5th painting) using their creativity and skills they learned to make their own unique piece. Using the colors we explored and the techniques students will then vote for their favorite painting. Students are required to share the process of their works with the instructor and classmates in the Outschool Classroom by the date set by the teacher, with 1) ONE self-critique, 2) comments on AT LEAST TWO classmates' works, and 3) ONE question or comment for instructor/classmate regarding the lesson. Questions for Self-Critique (choose one) - What is the most successful part of the painting you have completed? - What did you learn from the previous unit that you will incorporate into the next unit? - If possible, what could you have done to make the work better? Questions for a Classmate' Work (choose one - and comment on at least two classmates works) 1) What do you like the most about your classmate's work? Why? 2) In a positive way - How could he or she do to improve or add to the work for the next painting?
I have loved art from a very young age. I have taught both online and in-person art classes for over 3 years. As well as a certificate from the Ottawa School of Art, specializing in Fine Arts, and graduated with Honors in Visual Arts in high school. I continued this love for painting in Canada, teaching acrylic painting classes to 10-70 students with fun and engaging techniques. I also had the opportunity to teach abroad in impoverished communities to elementary school children in the jungles of Costa Rica, and to child victims of trafficking in Cambodia as part of an art therapy program. I hope to use this opportunity to guild your child in this art class - with patience, respect, and kindness. This way they can grow in confidence and enhance their own natural artistic abilities. I cannot wait to see the finished paintings after each class, and I hope that it can encourage them to continue in art throughout their lives. I also offer different fun painting classes- please feel free to check out my other ones. I hope to see you in the classroom! -Enita
Students will need to complete the painting and post once they are done!
