Class experience
In this one time course, young chefs will create Spectacular Berries and Cream Smoothie Pops! We will be blending ingredients in a blender, pouring into popsicle molds or plastic cups, and saving one for us to try together during class! Smoothies will need to be frozen for 2-4 hours after class to become popsicles! During class we will start with a short introduction of learners, review of materials and ingredients, then we will dive into the recipe. I enjoy when students are vocal and ask...
Ingredients Berries and Cream Smoothie Pops About 2 cups frozen mixed berries 2 Tbsp Honey 1 cup favorite brand vanilla yogurt (any variety) 1/2 tsp vanilla extract Milk or Juice (as needed to help smoothie consistency) Materials Blender with lid rubber spatula 1 cup measuring cup 1 tablespoon measuring spoon 1 tsp measuring spoon popsicle molds or plastic cups, popsicle sticks, and aluminum foil 1 small glass for tasting smoothie!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parental guidance is needed to help young chefs use a blender and to pour into molds if necessary.
