Class Experience

In this one-time course, students will learn about how CRISPR-Cas9 works and its multitude of uses in biology and medicine. We will study the history and development of CRISPR-Cas9, the mechanism of how it works, its successful uses in medicine and science up to this point, and its hopeful future uses.

I host a very interactive classroom environment. Questions and comments are always welcome. Curiosity is encouraged!

As a recent graduate in Biomedical Science and future Genetic Counselor, I am passionate about special topics in Genetics such as this and have extensive knowledge concerning the mechanism of CRISPR-Cas9. I'm excited to break things down to the basics and provide curious students with a solid understanding of how this revolutionary genetic technology works!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
