Speaking Clearly - Enunciation Tongue Twister Fun for 8-9 Year Olds
Enunciation is all about saying words and sentences clearly -- how clearly each sound is made. Up until age 7, kids are mastering sounds. Once they master their sounds (usually by age 7), then this class helps students speak more clearly.

Description
Class Experience
Articulation is the physical act of using your tongue, jaw, teeth, lips, palate (roof of your mouth), and breath to create the different sounds of a language. Usually by age 7, 90% of children have mastered the sounds of the English language. Usually, the last sounds mastered are: s, z, j, l, r, sh, ch, th, and the sound blends. Enunciation, however, is how clearly a person says words and sentences when the sounds are combined in a wide variety of ways -- how clearly each sound is made...
Help students learn how to speak more clearly and then practice speaking more clearly. 1) HOW: Learn a speaking method that dramatically helps improve Speech Clarity. 2) PRACTICE: Tongue Twisters that help improve Speech Clarity.
Students should bring a CLEAN pen (or pencil). Please also bring water to drink during class (and if possible drink plenty of water during the day(s) prior to class too).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
