US Grade 3 - 6
Public speaking can be intimidating and a little scary. However, when we learn and practice these skills at a young age we develop confidence for any public speaking arena, whether it is talking to a friend or teacher, or in a large meeting. In this ongoing, weekly, drop-in club, students will learn to think quickly while developing their public speaking skills. This is a fun, upbeat class designed to make learners feel comfortable speaking in front of others by having them create speeches...
Students will learn to be comfortable in public speaking situations by focusing on eye contact, volume, speech writing, vocal expression, gestures, and a host of other public speaking skills. In addition, students will also improve their listening, social, and group dynamic skills by supporting and encouraging each other for each speech.
