In this course, students will have opportunities to practice responding to a variety of questions while learning to strengthen their speaking and presenting.
Class experience
In this course, students will be presented with tips for speaking well in different settings, as well as crafting thoughtful responses. Learners will practice responding to a variety of topic questions (formal and informal) using speaking guides to promote structured responses. A typical class would begin with an introduction and icebreaker for the course, where students will introduce themselves and respond to a thought-provoking question. Students will then learn some "do's and don'ts"...
Students will improve their speaking skills for a variety of settings by learning the styles and structures for different speaking environments. Students will practice speaking to match an occasion and providing thoughtful responses.
I have a degree in secondary education for English topics, including speaking in public spaces. I took a speaking course as part of my degree. I have also taught this style of lesson before in a virtual space.
