Class experience
Various speech types will be taught and practiced. We will do mouth, tongue and face speaking exercises as well as tongue twisters and script-reading, for improved diction. Storytelling will be demonstrated through viewing and discussing fictional video clips. Students interact with each other and teacher through partner speeches and class discussions. Students will learn the different types of speeches (ie, debate, Informative, How-To, etc) and will participate in several types of speeches. They will learn about the various means of storytelling, including pictures, video clips, dance, and of course, speaking.
