In this joyful 5-day summer music camp, young learners ages 6–10 will explore the magic of music through singing, rhythm play, body percussion, and movement—all inspired by beloved animated movie moments! Each day features a fun new theme (like the ocean, winter, the jungle, and heroes) using kid-friendly vocal warm-ups, music games, sing-alongs, and creative activities. Learners will: 1. Demonstrate steady beat, echo singing, and simple rhythm patterns. 2. Use their voice expressively and with confidence. 3. Participate in group musical games and creative movement activities. 4. Experience music through play, storytelling, and imagination. Daily Camp Themes: Session 1: Monday, June 16: Ocean Adventure: "Sing Like the Sea!" Tuesday, June 17: Winter Wonderland: "Frozen Beats" Wednesday, June 18: Jungle Jive: "Roar & Rhythm" Thursday, June 19: Hero Harmony: "Sing Like a Star!" Friday, June 20: Celebration Day: "Sparkle & Sing Showcase!" Session 2: Monday, July 14: Ocean Adventure: "Sing Like the Sea!" Tuesday, July 15: Winter Wonderland: "Frozen Beats" Wednesday, July 16: Jungle Jive: "Roar & Rhythm" Thursday, July 17: Hero Harmony: "Sing Like a Star!" Friday, July 18: Celebration Day: "Sparkle & Sing Showcase!" Each session includes a variety of music activities that encourage listening, movement, creativity, and self-expression. No musical experience is required—just a love of music and imagination!
Learning Goals
Goals:
1. Learn basic music concepts (rhythm, melody, pitch, and dynamics).
2. Sing age-appropriate songs and participate in echo singing.
3. Move to music through freeze dance games and themed movement activities.
4. Practice body percussion and rhythm.
Other Details
Learning Needs
Movement, singing, and activities will be designed to accommodate different energy levels, attention spans, and learning styles. If your learner has specific needs (ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, etc.), please message me ahead of time.
Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is not required, but children may need space to move during dancing and rhythm play. Please ensure your learner has a safe, open area for movement.
Pre-Requisites
No prior music experience is required! Learners simply need to come ready to sing, move, and have fun. A love for Disney-inspired music and an excitement for participating will make this camp even more magical!
Supply List
For each class, you will need to bring: 1. A scarf, small towel, or piece of fabric for movement activities 2. Something to tap (like rhythm sticks, wooden spoons, or pencils) 3. A small stuffed animal (optional, used during creative play) 4. Printable materials may be shared prior to class (PDF rhythm cards or coloring pages).
