Spark Poetry!
This course meets once a week! We will gather together for 45 minutes to experiment with different poetic styles. We will have writing challenges, hilarious read alouds, and get our creative juices flowing.

This 45 minute session is ideal for your budding writer! We will do fun rhyming games, write poetry in different formats, and collecting cool ideas to stay creative during the week. This will be a high energy writing course! We will write "I remember poems' by using something that happened to you or someone you know as the starting idea for your story poem. We also will use photos and paintings spark poetry ideas. Our five minutes spark breaks will encourage students to find inspiration in everyday items! Students may need to move about the home to find objects for the poetry spark challenges. For this course, you will need a notebook/paper and a writing utensil. This will be a multimedia integrated course with art, video, and sound. Students will be able to share their poetry with other students in the course.
