Description
Class Experience
Students will learn the definitions of key terms for debate, How to write an affirmative and negative case, How to respond in rebuttal, How to ask and respond effectively in a trial like cross examination of questions and answers back and forth, How to persuade a debate judge to vote for your side to win, How to flow or take notes during a competitive debate in a fun, supportive, environment.
No homework for this one time course
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will work with an award winning current high school and college Debate coach and receive instant feedback during the course after each round of the debate.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
