What's included
Class Experience
In this course, students will write letters to each other on guided topics, in order to practice their written Spanish. Each week, they will have 1 assignment. Each assignment focuses on a specific grammar point, tense, and vocabulary. They will have an example letter to refer to, and instruction/guidance on what to include. The written assignments for the course include: 0. Introducing yourself (before the course begins) 1. Describing your family, house and schedule using hay, time expressions 2. Describing future plans (trip, vacation, university) using the verb ir 3. Explaining your dream job and how to obtain it using tener que 4. Describing your own traditions for a holiday, using frecuency adverbs Since this is a practice course, students should have a high basic/intermediate level of Spanish (Spanish 1 is preferred as a prerequisite) in order to participate in this course. This is not an instructional Spanish course. First, students will submit their letters for corrections and feedback to their instructor. They will need to correct the work. Then, students will post their letters in the Outschool classroom. They will be expected to reply to one other classmate each week, as assigned by the teacher. They are welcome to reply to additional classmates as well.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of written Spanish grammar in the present tense.
Correcting grammar mistakes in written work will lead to better grammar in spoken Spanish and comprehension in reading and listening.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am offering this class because many students have a passion for writing in Spanish. Even though writing is the next best thing, if you can´t speak, most of the workbook options are not enjoyable for students. Therefore, it will be more meaningful if students are able to write to each other and learn through a pen pal relationship about their classmates. This meaningful interaction will help increase their retention of the vocabulary, and their language levels across the board.
