Let's learn the alphabet! 

In this multi-day course, students will learn the alphabet in Spanish. We will focus on identifying extra letters in the alphabet and identifying the similarities and differences between the English and Spanish alphabets. In Spanish, the letters might be almost the same, but they have very different sounds. For this reason, we will also focus on practicing the correct pronunciation of the vowels in Spanish, which are the most commonly mistaken when practicing pronunciation. 

Course Outline:
Day 1: Introduction to the alphabet and vowel pronunciation
Day 2: Review the alphabet and vowels. Practice exercises
On the first day of the course, we will learn the alphabet and introduce the pronunciation of vowels in Spanish. On the second day, we will mostly focus on practicing what we learned. On this day, students will read words using the correct pronunciation and play educational games to check for understanding.

I like to have fun while teaching and get everyone participating and conversing in class. I understand that this might be some students' first exposure to the language and they might be a bit shy, so participation is not required but highly encouraged. This will help them cement what is being learned and aid them in understanding the language. This class is aimed at beginner learners with no experience in the language or learners that want a refresh of their basics. This course will teach Spanish concepts, but instructions and explanations will be provided in English to help new learners.
