Class experience
Are you struggling with learning the grammar side of Spanish? Does conjugating Spanish verbs feel like an impossible task? This class is for you. This Spanish verb boot camp will help students break down verbs and learn strategies that they can apply to sentence formation in the target language. We will review Spanish sentence structure, pronouns and Spanish verbs. This class is for students who are currently studying Spanish or have already taken Spanish 1. -Students will improve their understanding of how to use Spanish verbs in sentences. -Students will improve their understanding of Spanish pronouns and how they interact with Spanish verbs. -Students will practice constructing sentences using appropriate forms of Spanish verbs in the present tense.
I have taught middle and high school Spanish since 2006. I am a certified Spanish and English teacher in the state of Florida through 2024. I have a BA in both Comparative Literature (study of cultural expression through literature) & Spanish Language and Literature from Hamilton College. I lived in Spain with a Spanish family for half my junior year and attended El Instituto Internacional in Madrid. My mother’s side of the family is from Honduras so I was raised in a Spanish speaking household filled with traditional food and culture. I earned my Master of Science for Teachers in Adolescent Education from Pace University. I am also a Professor of Education at Valencia College. I authored, Get Between Your Teen and the Screen, and co-authored the interactive student guide, Dream, Create, Activate: Create Your Master Plan to Discover and Fulfill Your Dreams. I love teaching Spanish!
