This class is an individualized tutoring / help session for Spanish learners of all levels. The topics to be discussed in class will be determined by the parents through communication with the teacher upon sign-up, before class meetings. The teacher will create customized, focused lessons based on the needs of the learners. Learners of all levels are welcome to sign-up. From beginner levels, all the way to advanced levels. Elementary Spanish, middle school Spanish, high school Spanish. Some of the topics that we can go over are: -The subject pronouns -Verb conjugations -Clothing -The family members -Descriptions -Stem-changing verbs and irregular verbs -Differences between the verbs 'ser' and 'estar' -Reading comprehension -Projects -Interrogative words and question formation -Pronunciation -Greetings and presentations -The verb 'tener' -Numbers all the way to 1,000,000 -Vocabulary words - ... and any other topics that learners need help with (These are just a few examples) The class is set up to run as an informal conversation in the form of explanation or answering questions, and the completion of oral or written exercises with the learner (according to their needs during each session) in order to make them feel comfortable and stress-free. Since most foreign language classes can be overwhelming and confusing when all the lesson is taught in the targeted language, in these tutoring lessons, the teacher will use English to explain the Spanish concepts to ensure better understanding. Of course, if the parents would like to have more Spanish spoken during the session or if the topic of the session is focused on the conversational aspect, then Spanish will be mostly used. Parents are encouraged to discuss their wishes with the teacher.
Learning Goals
At the end of this class, the learners will have a better understanding of the Spanish class topics for which they signed-up for.
