Class Experience

This class is taught only using Spanish.

I am passionate about teaching Spanish to children from Spanish-speaking families. My goal is to provide them with an opportunity to practice their language skills so they don't forget how to speak it or refuse to speak it as they grow older. This class is also designed for medium to advanced Spanish learners.

In this class, students will have the chance to engage in conversations with native Spanish speakers and participate in activities that will help them improve their language skills. We will focus on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation to ensure that students are able to communicate effectively in Spanish.

By taking this class, students will not only improve their language skills but also gain a deeper understanding of Spanish culture. I am excited to share my passion for the Spanish language and culture with my students and help them achieve their language learning goals.

Practicing a language is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, it helps in expanding one's vocabulary. Learning new words and phrases can enhance communication skills and make one more confident while speaking. Secondly, practicing with a native speaker can improve pronunciation and accent, which is essential for effective communication. Lastly, learning relevant topics can make the learning process more engaging and practical for the students.

To ensure effective learning, our lessons cover various topics from Science, History, Social Studies, etc. We start with a short clip to initiate discussion and share opinions. Then, we move on to learning new vocabulary and reading articles. We also use worksheets to practice writing and reading comprehension.

My lessons are designed to keep students engaged and active. I encourage active participation to help students practice their communication skills. Moreover, I offer new topics regularly, so students can join at any time without worrying about repeating lessons. In conclusion, practicing a language is essential for improving communication skills, and our lessons are designed to make the process engaging and practical.

First 4 weeks topics:

- Week of March 6th, 2023: Los pinguinos del Antartica/Pinguines from Antartic.
- Week of March 13th, 2023: Todo sobre el invierno/All about winter.
- Week of March 20th, 2023: Las cartas de Lincoln/Lincoln's letters.
- Week of March 27th, 2023: El hombre mas rapido del mundo/The fastest man on earth.

For these lessons, students should know how to read either in Spanish. Students also need to have medium to advanced Spanish. (if you have any questions feel free to send me a message)

Hello Outschool parents. I am so honored to be able to teach your children.
Online teaching has become my ultimate passion, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with you. My name is Elena, and I hail from the beautiful country of Ecuador. I moved to the United States of America over a decade ago, accompanied by my loving husband and two adorable children.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching a wide range of individuals, from the youngest of infants to the most seasoned of adults. Each age group presents its own unique set of challenges and rewards, and I have found that every single one is filled with an abundance of incredible learning opportunities.

I am proud to hold a Bachelor's degree in Education and an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. With over 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher, I have honed my skills and expertise in the field of education. In the past five years, I have been teaching online, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I have had the privilege of teaching over 3000 online students and conducting more than 7000 lessons.

As an educator, I am passionate about learning from different cultures and sharing my own culture with others. I have had the opportunity to teach English Language Learners (ELL) both in classrooms and online also Spanish as a Second Language.

During my time in the classroom, I always aimed to make my lessons interactive, engaging, and fun. I incorporated a lot of movement and provided ample opportunities for students to communicate with one another. This approach has been incredibly successful, and I have carried it over to my online teaching as well. I believe that students should be an active part of the learning process and feel comfortable in their learning environment.

In conclusion, I am excited to embark on this journey with you and help you achieve your academic goals.

I would love to hear from parents about the classes that you would like me to teach. I am open to suggestions and requests.

I can't wait to meet your children.
