In this Waldorf-inspired Spanish class language comes to life through storytelling, art, and conversation. This is a Spanish immersion class (90% Spanish), where students learn through hearing, seeing, and doing—building vocabulary through experience rather than memorization. Each week centers around a theme such as feelings, animals, food, family, or seasons. These topics are introduced through carefully selected Spanish stories and expanded through songs, visual aids, movement, and discussion. Art is used not only as a form of creative expression but also as a tool to reinforce comprehension and vocabulary. This class is ideal for learners who enjoy creative, hands-on learning and benefit from rhythm and routine. Our Waldorf-trained teacher creates a safe space where children can experiment with speaking, listening, and understanding Spanish at their own pace. Activities are designed to spark confidence, imagination, and a genuine love for the language. THEME CYCLE ⇢ Week of April 21: Saludos y emociones (Greetings and Feelings) Children will learn to greet others and express how they’re feeling using Spanish phrases, songs, and movement games. ⇢ Week of April 28: Colores del arco iris (Colors of the Rainbow) Learners explore the colors through songs, art, and playful games as they create a vibrant rainbow during art time. ⇢ Week of May 5: Mi cuerpo y el movimiento (My Body and Movement) Through verse and movement, children learn the parts of the body in Spanish and practice them with dance and finger plays. ⇢ Week of May 12: Animales de la granja (Farm Animals) Children are introduced to animals through story time, animal sound songs, and a farm-themed art activity.
