Class Experience
Want your child to feel confident when learning Spanish for the first time? With this 1 Day Intro Class, students will be exposed to Spanish from the beginning until the end of each class! Through catchy songs, visuals, and fun activities, students will listen and understand basic Spanish! This class will cover the Spanish alphabet through a few fun songs, and will start to learn a few key phrases that will help them in my beginner Spanish class if they choose to sign up for that course....
This class is taught in Spanish.
Students will learn to say the Spanish alphabet, the vowels sounds in Spanish, and start to learn key phrases such as greetings!
I have taught beginner Spanish to middle schoolers on a every-4-weeks rotation, for the past 7 school years. Therefore, I have taught the "first day of Spanish" class more than 30 times!
Paper/notebook, a pencil, and an eraser.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I will be using Youtube via screen-share for the videos used for the alphabet, vowels, and for a song. Quizlet and Kahoot may be used in this class, but an account will not be required. Quizlet & Kahoot are vocab-based games where I input the vocabulary for the lesson for students to review. After each question on Kahoot, I like to go over the answers, (why a student was close to the correct answer if they picked Answer A and why the correct one should be Answer B, for example). I may also use Quizlet in screen-share mode to teach students how to navigate all of the vocab review options the site has to offer.
