Class Experience
In this one-time class, students will enjoy listening to and participating in a Spanish read-aloud! In this class, we will have lots of fun reading the classic Children's story, La gallinita roja (The Little Red Hen). Our class will begin with a greeting and welcome in Spanish and English, followed by an introduction to the Spanish vocabulary and phrases we will learn from the story. Students will learn new Spanish vocabulary as they actively listen to La gallinita roja (The Little Red Hen) and participate in a drawing activity.
Qualifications : - Bachelor’s Degree - Certified Teacher - 7 years of classroom experience - 4 years of online teaching experience - 2 years bilingual Spanish educator I have been teaching for 7 years. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with my degree in International Economics. Some of my favorite classes within this major included Spanish language and culture classes. Shortly after graduating from college, I pursued my passion of inspiring and educating young learners as a full-time classroom teacher and online teacher. I have taught at the elementary and middle school levels for 7 years and am a bilingual Spanish elementary school teacher as well as an Outschool teacher.
An optional vocabulary matching activity will be available for students before class. Students are welcome to complete the activity during or after our class time together.
Students are encouraged to participate in the drawing portion of our class, so a piece of paper and something to draw with (pens, pencils, markers, or crayons) are highly recommended!
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
