Students are NOT expected to understand everything said in this portion of the class. It is meant to provide an immersive experience and an opportunity for additional language acquisition. Maestra Zia is a happy teacher who loves to provide positive reinforcement and encourage student participation while instructing and modeling materials in a clear and fun way. Students will be encouraged to interact with each other in Spanish and because this is an ongoing class, they will have the opportunity to create rapport if they see each other on a consistent basis. No required experience. This is a basic/beginners class that introduces new Spanish language learners to key words in a fun way but also provides other extra language acquisition for them.
