This class models the teaching of a popular speech writing group that helps with public speaking on a professional level. We incorporate knowledge from there and will be learning how to write speeches and present them in Spanish effectively for the audience. Each learner will get a turn presenting and evaluating the speeches given throughout this course. This class will be held once a week for 60 minutes so that each participate will be able to present their speech, participate in the weekly improv section and learn a new goal mini- lesson on speech writing. Each week the class will be broken down into the following: - Goal speeches presented by learners in class from assigned homework- 20- 30 mins - Improv speaking using Spanish in their responses- 5 mins - Evaluations of speeches - 10 mins - Mini lesson on the next week's goal - 5- 10 mins - Homework of goal given for the next class session.

I have a BA degree in Spanish from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I have lived in Mexico while attending an exchange program while in college. I taught Spanish to Preschool, Elementary, Middle and Highschool students for over 15 years.
As for the speech writing portion of this class I have been active member of Toastmasters International for 4 years and have various accomplishments within the organization. I am focused on using some techniques learned there and incorporating them into the Spanish programs of course using my personal teaching style. I have done this successfully when I taught in the Brick and Mortar learning style.
