There will not be any homework, but students are encouraged to practice their new skills.Class Experience
Each short pre- recorded lesson will include a power point with pictures, Spanish vocabulary words, and their English translations. This class is designed to mimic the live version, but can be done on your own time. We will discuss cognates and how they can be useful in determining word meanings. I will demonstrate the correct usage of the content and the students will practice repeating the proper pronunciation of the new words and songs. Please note that this is not an immersive class. It is designed for those in the beginning stages wanting to start with the basics. Students will interact with the teacher and other students through by responding to discussion questions via the Classroom tab. Discussion questions may include: - Name 3 new vocabulary words you learned today - Were there any words you were hoping to learn today, but didn't? If so, list them here. - Were there any cognates in this lesson? - Do you have any questions? Weekly lesson plans can be found below in the Learning Goals section.
