This is a small ongoing class that allows students to practice their Spanish through different real life scenarios.
Class experience
During this class the students will practice speaking in Spanish through role play. Every week, I will propose either a real life scenario or a more creative scenario. The students will have to play a role to participate in that particular scenario using the Spanish they know. The students will be put in couples and ask to take turns to come up with a conversation relevant to the proposed scenario. This class is taught in English.
The students will practice their Spanish using different scenarios that will push them to practice a little bit out of their comfort zone. They will have to come up with conversations in real time without a lot of time to prepare. We will review tenses, grammar, and vocabulary as it becomes relevant for each particular topic. The goal is to acquire confidence speaking in a foreign language without much preparation. We will review the conversations and point out ways for improvement and discussions questions related to grammar, tenses, and vocabulary.
In my personal experience as a teacher and former student, I have found that language classes don't focus enough on giving the students the opportunity to speak. There is no way you will master a language without putting yourself out there and trying to converse. I have several years of experience teaching Spanish to people from many different background, ages, and levels. I truly enjoy teaching my students not only to speak Spanish but gain confidence and feel comfortable expressing themselves in a foreign language.
Homework Offered
The students will review the conversations, grammar, and vocabulary for the class. The homework should take between 15 to 30 minutes. The students are always welcome to reach to me if they have any questions about any of the topics discussed during the class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Parents, This will be a fun way for your kids to practice the skills they have learned through all those many years of hard work. The class requires a little bit of courage to participate actively. But I assure you the best way to learn a foreign language is through practice and making lots mistakes! Please, let me know if you have any questions.
The class will use a shared word document that I create and send to the students after the class. I use this word document to share the readings, questions, and exercises with which we will work. This saves time by permitting us to engage and share notes in real time, as well as enabling the students to keep the materials at the end of the class (as a pdf file that I attach to the Outschool classroom AT THE END of every class).
