This class is for intermediate to advanced Spanish learners to practice reading, writing and speaking. Our live meetings will be centered around digital short stories that we will read together in class. This class will be conducted in full immersion.
Class experience
This class is designed for children who already speak and understand Spanish and need a place to practice it. It is valuable for Spanish maintenece and for additional aquisition of the language. The group will be kept at a maximum of five students in order to garantee participation opportunities for everyone. Maestra Zia is a native Spanish speaker and has two degrees from the University of Puerto Rico. She lived on the island for over 20 years and has worked with the Department of Education there teaching children from Kindergarten through High school. She has also successfully raised fully bilingual children of her own. Maestra Zia greatly enjoys providing simultaneous interpretation for the Hispanic and English-speaking community where she lives.
