Spanish: Paper Craft Activities (Intermediate-Advanced)
In this 12 day classes, students will make paper crafts and learn/practice Spanish. This is a Spanish immersion class for students with previous knowledge of Spanish.

1 hour per week. Students will finish part of the crafts in class and some part at home. Students will not be expected to finish all of their crafts in class, they will be able to work at their own pace and can finish 1-2 models in class.Class Experience
This class is taught entirely in Spanish. The teacher will give instructions using appropriate verbs and will use vocabulary related to the craft such as colours, numbers, animals, shapes, vegetables, party, planets etc. This is an intermediate-advanced Spanish class. The teacher will speak in Spanish only. Learners with previous knowledge of Spanish will have the opportunity to practice their knowledge and speak in Spanish as well as develop their listening skills, learners will practice vocabulary related to the crafts such as penguins, animals, the solar system as well as instructions to follow to make the crafts. Students will make paper crafts and they will learn how to draw simple animals step by step. The teacher will explain and show the steps to follow per every activity. Students will be exposed to a variety of vocabulary while making their craft. The teacher will practice the vocabulary with the students at the beginning of the class and also while students are making their crafts as speaking skills will be a main focus in this course. For these classes, learners will need materials such as coloured pencils/crayons/markers, glue, tape, popsicle/wooden sticks, scissors, string. Files will be sent by the teacher and it is essential to print them out as students will use them to make their crafts in every class. Classes break down is as follows: Day 1: 3D paper craft penguins Day 2: 3D paper craft T-Rex Day 3-Snowmen Day 4-Animal cones Day 5-Solar system mobile Day 6-Emoji faces Day 7-Design a pizza Day 8- Bouquet of flowers Day 9-Wizard hat Day 10-Party hats Day 11- How to draw animals Day 12- Dinosaur mask
Learning Goals
Learners with previous knowledge of Spanish will have the opportunity to practice their knowledge and speak in Spanish as well as develop their listening skills, learners will also learn vocabulary related to the crafts that they will be making.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Kids will use scissors during these classes, parents supervision will be required to avoid injury. Kids have to have good cutting skills. Scissors need to have rounded ends rather than pointy ends.
Supply List
Students will need: Scissors, colour pencils/crayons, markers,wooden sticks, glue, tape, paper, eraser, pencil. It is important to print out the files to use them in class.

I am multilingual, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Language Teacher Education and an Early Childhood Education Diploma. I speak Spanish, French, and English. I have also attended the following workshops/trainings in Canada: Science of Early Childhood Development-Play, Science of Early Childhood Development-Language and Literacy, Science of Early Childhood Development-Introductory Level, Transition Planning Intermediate Level, and Adult Education-Intermediate level. I have been teaching French and Spanish languages for over eight years. My students range from toddlers to adults. I have lived and worked in France and Mexico. Currently, I live in Canada.
I offer the following skills: Ability to engage students from a wide range of backgrounds, interactive lesson plans, good interpersonal skills and a passion for languages. I am an active listener and team player. I like to do crafting and science experiments with my family. I also enjoy learning to cook different kind of dishes, lately I have made Asian dishes such as brown rice and eggplant. I like travelling and I have learnt the culture of the languages that I teach where the languages that I speak are the mother tongues.
