Class Experience
In this 5-weeks course the student will learn the following. Week 1. The student will learn to introduce himself/herself. The student will learn the vowels. The student will learn vocabulary words that start with each vowel. The student will be able to identify boy/girl/man/woman/mother/father/brother/sister. The student will be able to count from 1-5. The student will learn five colors. The student will also be able to blend and read short sentences by the end of the class. The student will identify grandfather/grandmother. The student will be introduced to the questions; who is he? who is she? The student will learn to answer these questions using complete sentences. The student will be introduced to the verb to have. the student will learn to blend with "p" and how to read short sentences. The student will be introduced to five new colors and numbers from 6-10. Week 2. The student will identify his/her aunt/uncle. The student will be introduced to the verb to speak. The student will blend with the "s." The student will be able to read short sentences by the end of the class. The student will review the colors already learned at this point. The student will learn numbers from 11 to 15 and then review numbers from 1-15. The student will continue to learn about their extended family members, such as cousins. The student will be introduced to verb to play. The student will blend with "L." The numbers from 15-20 will be reviewed and also the colors. Week 3. The student will learn the days of the week. They will be introduced to a new verb and phonics. They will also be introduced to vegetables and fruits. The teacher will read and guide students with a short reader about eating vegetables. This will serve to enhance their hearing and comprehension as we move forward into the following lessons. The student will conclude learning about the days of the week. New verbs and phonics are introduced. A short reader about the family will be introduced in this lesson. Week 4. The student will conclude learning about the days of the week. New verbs and phonics are introduced. A short reader about the family will be introduced in this lesson. The student will be introduced to the months of the year. They will be able to ask questions about the months of the year. They also will review the verbs that have been introduced so far. They will read two short readers about their grandparents and about eating vegetables. Week of ( The student continues to learn about the months of the year. The student will be introduced to the ordinal numbers, so he/she can talk about the months of the year. He/she will continue to learn new verbs and phonics. As this is our last lesson: The student continues to learn about the months of the year. The student reviews all the verbs/phonics/vocabulary verbs, days of the week and months of the year.
Learning Goals
The student will learn more Spanish as the course progresses. In this 5-weeks course, the students will learn to introduce themselves and identify their feelings. The students will learn the vowels, colors, numbers, about their families. They will learn some verbs that will help them talk about the things that they like to do. Each lesson is prepared. I am using PowerPoint to teach each lesson. The student will have the opportunity to participate in class and to practice what was taught. I am energetic and I like to introduce puppets and props to keep the lesson interesting for each learner. After each lesson, the student will have the opportunity to do a Kahoot to further enhance the comprehension of the material. No experience is required as the student will be learning as we go.
