Hello, I'm Ms. Pineda, a passionate and experienced teacher from Florida. I have 10 years of teaching experience, including four years of online teaching, and I am originally from Peru. My deep understanding of Peruvian culture, combined with my extensive teaching background, enables me to create engaging, effective, and fun learning experiences for students. As a native Peruvian, I bring firsthand knowledge of the country's traditions, history, and language to this class. My teaching experience spans elementary and middle school students, allowing me to adapt to the unique needs and challenges faced by learners in these age groups. I'm committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment where students can confidently explore the rich cultural heritage of Peru and develop their Spanish language skills. In addition, students are encouraged to explore supplementary resources, such as videos, articles, or books about Peru to enhance their understanding of the country's culture and language. No specific page count for reading materials is required, as students can choose resources based on their interests and reading levels.
Learner progress will be assessed through informal evaluations, focusing on their engagement, participation, and understanding of the class material. Formal grades or written reports will not be used in this class. Instead, assessments will include: 1. Observing students' active participation in class discussions, role-plays, and interactive activities. 2. Monitoring students' progress in learning and using Spanish vocabulary and phrases during class sessions. 3. Providing constructive feedback on students' homework assignments, with an emphasis on improvement and growth. 4.
