Class Experience

You have started your Spanish learning journey. Here is the next level! In this half semester course, students will work through the second half of the Spanish 1 curriculum. Worksheets, vocabulary lists, and other class materials will be provided by the teacher throughout the course. Students will continue to learn Spanish vocabulary, phrases, conjugations, and grammar while interacting with each other and the teacher as much as possible in the Spanish language. The teacher will speak mostly English, but will increase in Spanish instruction as the class progresses. Students will be challenged in their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in a number of ways in this course. I like to have fun when I teach, and I like to give the students as much help as I can to help them memorize and internalize this language. The instruction materials will be made and provided by the teacher. Students will be responsible for practicing and studying their lessons between classes. Vocabulary is very important, so students will be expected to practicing their vocabulary lists given each week. The following class schedule is tentative, and subject to change if deemed necessary by the teacher:
Lesson 1: Vocab sobre la Escuela (school)
lesson 2: horario de escuela (school schedule)
Lesson 3: El tiempo (telling time)
Lesson 4: direcciones (directions)
Lesson 5:Los sustantivos (nouns)
Lesson 6: artículos masculinos y femeninos (masculine and feminine articles)
Lesson 7: la comida y bebida (food and drink)
Lesson 8: cocinar y restaurante (cooking and restaurants)
Lesson 9: repaso y practicar para final (review and final practice)

I'm so excited to speak Spanish with your students!
