Spanish Is Fun! Beginners Spanish 1a Semester for High Schoolers (14-18)
In this 5 week course, students will meet twice a week to learn the most basics parts of the Spanish Language. Students will learn vocabulary, conjugations, and sentence frames.
Spanish is a widely used language all over the world and especially in the United States. Being bilingual has many benefits, socially and mentally! It can also be very helpful when finding a job, since you are able to speak with a wider variety of people. In this half semester course, students will work through the first half of the Spanish 1 curriculum, which is the most basic form of Spanish. Worksheets, vocabulary lists, and other class materials will be provided by the teacher throughout...
Students will learn the basics of the Spanish language. They will be able to have a short introductory conversation at the end of this class (Like an interview).
I studied Spanish abroad in Costa Rica, have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Education and I taught Spanish in a public middle school.
Students may have short homework assignments to help them practice and memorize the language.
Paper and Pencil are optional for note taking. Vocabulary lists will be provided by the teacher. Any other work materials will be provided by the teacher.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be periodic review classes, dedicated to checking for understanding and making sure none of the students are behind.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
I will be using the book Carson Dellosa – Skill Builders Spanish I Workbook for the curriculum.
