Intermediate Level
This is a Spanish immersion class. Learners should be able to communicate in the target language. In addition, learners should be able to understand Spanish. In this course learners will expand their knowledge in Spanish. The teacher will translate some words in case there are new words for learners or words that they do not understand. Students will develop their communication skills in Spanish. Students will learn more vocabulary to complex phrases to communicate in the target language. PowerPoint slides, props, games such as matching cards, pictionary, crafts, etc., will be used in class. Learners will have assignments weekly to study what they learn in class. Learners will practice their speaking skills, learners will answer and ask questions. Learners will learn singular and plural form of adjectives and select adjectives depending on the gender/number. Learners will learn how to ask and tell the time, the conjugation of regular verbs, learners will have the opportunity to develop their reading comprehension and use the appropriate articles when talking and writing about places, learners will also do a presentation in class where they will show their knowledge by using topics studied in this course. Lesson 1: Describing food: Adjectives Lesson 2: Describing people: Adjectives Lesson 3: Reading comprehension: Adjectives (Clothes) (Learners will record their voice reading) Lesson 4 : Spanish speaking countries and capitals. Lesson 5: My routine: verbs in present tense (regular and irregulars) Lesson 6: Routine: Talking about others routines Lesson 7: Telling the time (o’ clock and past half) (Learners will make a paper clock) Lesson 8: Telling the time in different ways (quarter to and quarter past)) Lesson 9: Hobbies: Present tense Verbs ending in -ar, -er, -ir (regulars) Lesson 10: Father’s day reading comprehension Lesson 11: Holiday destination: articles for places Lesson 12: Presentations

¡Hola a todos! Bonjour tout le monde! Hello everyone!
I am multilingual, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Language Teacher Education and an Early Childhood Education Diploma. I speak Spanish, French, and English. I have also attended the following workshops/trainings in Canada: Science of Early Childhood Development-Play, Science of Early Childhood Development-Language and Literacy, Science of Early Childhood Development-Introductory Level, Transition Planning Intermediate Level, and Adult Education-Intermediate level. I have been teaching French and Spanish languages for over eight years. My students range from toddlers to adults. I have lived and worked in France and Mexico. Currently, I live in Canada.
I offer the following skills: Ability to engage students from a wide range of backgrounds, interactive lesson plans, good interpersonal skills and a passion for languages. I am an active listener and team player. I like to do crafting and science experiments with my family. I also enjoy learning to cook different kind of dishes, lately I have made Asian dishes such as brown rice and eggplant. I like travelling and I have learnt the culture of the languages that I teach where the languages that I speak are the mother tongues.
