What's included

30 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
¡Bienvenidos! ¿De qué se trata esta clase? / What is this class about? In this class, students will improve their listening, speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills in Spanish, through reading stories, watching movies, writing activities, and participating in classroom discussions. This course will be taught in weekly or monthly themes. Some themes may include: Disney, animals, mysteries, sports, holidays, etc. For example, in November, students may be asked to watch the Disney movie "Coco" in Spanish and come to class ready to discuss the Day of the Dead and Mexican customs and culture. ¿Qué puedo esperar cada semana? / What can I expect each week? Each week, students will be assigned an out-of-class activity: (read a story, watch a movie, write a short story, etc.). This assignment will be brought to the following class and used as a key part of classroom discussion that week. Each class will have a similar structure: - Introductions / Get to know you questions - Discuss that week's assignment/activity with the teacher and classmates - Answer comprehension questions (through discussion, mini lessons, quizzes, and trivia games) ¿Para quién es esta clase? / Who is this class for? Please note that this is not a class for beginner-level students who are hoping to learn Spanish basics. I recommend that students who enroll, have at least two years of experience and/or be considered intermediate to advanced in their Spanish abilities.
