🌟 Class Experience 🌟
Welcome to a fun and engaging Full Spanish Immersion Pre-K & Kindergarten Class! This class meets 4 days a week for 30 minutes and is perfect for learners ages 3–7. In this immersive environment, students will hear and speak only Spanish, supported by engaging visuals, interactive songs, and strategies that make understanding easy and fun. With 11 years of teaching experience, I create a nurturing space where every learner can thrive.

🌈 What We Will Do Each Week:
Each class begins with an energetic Circle Time, where we:

Sing songs 🎵
Review the calendar 📅
Practice days of the week, weather, and greetings ☀️❄️
Language Arts in Spanish:

Learn letter names, sounds, and the "letter of the week."
Practice Spanish phonics, guided writing, and simple sentences.
Explore story comprehension through books, rhymes, and fun activities.
Build vocabulary through interactive games and conversations.
Math in Spanish:

Learn to count in Spanish, identify numbers, and build 1:1 correspondence.
Explore shapes, patterns, and spatial reasoning.
Solve basic math problems with hands-on activities and games.
Integrated Science & Social Studies:
Each week, we’ll incorporate science and social studies into our themes:

For example: During "Garden Explorers," we’ll talk about how plants grow, and in "Community Helpers," we’ll explore jobs and tools people use.
📖 What Your Child Will Learn (All in Spanish!):
Language Arts:

Recognize and name uppercase and lowercase letters in Spanish.
Build Spanish phonics skills (sounds, syllables, and rhymes).
Write and understand simple Spanish sentences.
Math:

Count to 30 in Spanish and identify numbers 0–20.
Explore shapes, patterns, and sorting concepts.
Solve simple math problems with real-life applications.

Life Skills:
Practice turn-taking, listening, and following multi-step instructions.
Strengthen fine motor skills like cutting, coloring, and writing.
Build confidence in speaking Spanish while having fun!

Please have the following supplies ready:
Pencils ✏️
Erasers
Crayons
Glue sticks
Scratch or lined paper
Small whiteboard with dry-erase markers and eraser
Calendar and weather flashcards (provided in weekly packets).

📝 Important Notes:
This class is ongoing, meaning families can join anytime without falling behind!
Parents are encouraged to assist younger students with muting/unmuting and organizing supplies if needed.
A quiet, focused learning space is recommended to help your child stay engaged.

Learning Goals

Develop Foundational Literacy Skills in Spanish: Students will recognize and name letters, identify letter sounds, build Spanish phonics skills, and practice reading simple words and sentences, fostering confidence in early literacy in Spanish.
Enhance Early Math Understanding in Spanish: Students will identify numbers, count objects with 1:1 correspondence, explore patterns, shapes, and measurements, and strengthen problem-solving through hands-on activities—all in Spanish.

Parental Guidance
During class we will be using scissors. In the introduction I will show you some kid friendly options. Having adult supervision is always advice. During class we will also use glue stick, and dry erase markers.
