Class Experience

In "Spanish Immersion Cooking & Baking Summer Camp - Creamy Brazilian Limeade," students will make a delicious summer drink while practicing their Spanish speaking, listening, reading, comprehension, and vocabulary skills. 

*Students of all Spanish levels are welcome to join, but please note that this class is 100% immersion. Students are expected to speak entirely in Spanish when answering or asking questions aloud to maintain a fully immersive environment.

Students will improve their Spanish speaking, reading, listening, comprehension, and vocabulary skills through cooking or baking.

Spanish - I am a fluent Spanish speaker, having learned to speak while living in South America for five years. 

Cooking/Baking - Cooking and baking are hobbies that I am passionate about. I also worked for several summers in an industrial kitchen at a summer camp, cooking for 300+ campers every day.

A more detailed ingredient and supply list will be sent out before class begins. 
- Water
- White sugar
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Limes
- Vanilla extract
- Optional: Ice 
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Knife and cutting board
- Citrus juicer
- Long mixing spoon
- Large pitcher and glasses to serve
- Can opener (if needed)
- Optional: Citrus zester or grater
- Optional: Blender

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

Parental or adult guidance may be necessary for younger students or those with less experience in cooking or baking. We will utilize sharp utensils.
