Objectives for this course include everyday communication (introductions, describing people and places, asking questions, shopping, ordering food, etc.). The main learning goals are: -present tense verb conjugation -use of common irregular verbs -forming questions, affirmative, and negative sentences -communicating facts, needs, and preferences
My MA degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology has prepared me for designing and implementing online courses using the appropriate resources to meet the learning objectives. I have been an online student myself and I know what types of actvities and feedback were meaningful to me, and I try to recreate those as well for my students. They can expect personalized feedback and motivation along the way, just like they would recieve in a live class.
Students will complete 4 assignments for each topic (reading, listening, writing and speaking). Approximate time for each assignment is 15-20 minutes.
1 file available upon enrollmentStudents should purchase the workbook for this course at: https://amzn.to/34DzeEh (the workbook covers both Spanish 1 and 2 topics).
An evaluation is provided for each student during and following the course. Students will recieve weekly feedback on their reading, listening, writing and speaking assignments. Everything is checked by hand and they recieve both written and audio feedback. A final evaluation is sent at the conclusion of the course. *Traditional assessments are available upon request.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Content is appropriate for all ages.
