In this class, students will have a blast learning some vocabulary and sentence structure on the topic of wild animals.  I use repetition, props, an interactive presentation, and a fun kahoot game at the end further reinforce memory.  I provide a worksheet to be done in or after class as well as kahoot card printouts for the game.  I strive to accommodate all learners through visual, auditory, and kinesthetic activities as well as adequate repetition.  This is a conversational class with an emphasis on student talk time.  Students will be encouraged, but not required, to speak about 50% of the time in order to practice pronunciation and promote retention.  If your child wishes not to speak in class, please let me know beforehand so that I can make those accommodations.   This is a beginner level course for students with little or no experience speaking Spanish, and I aim to facilitate a comfortable learning environment.  I gently encourage my students to raise their hand to signal that they have a question or want to share something with me or the class.  I ask lots of questions throughout the class so that every student gets a chance to be heard and share their thoughts while still maintaining a structured classroom environment.  I prefer to leave students unmuted as long as they are raising their hand and there is no distracting background noise.  I look forward to seeing you in the classroom!
