This is an ongoing course that meets 4 times per week for 20 minutes each session, which is designed to introduce 3-7 year olds to spoken Spanish. In each class we learn new words and sing simple songs in Spanish!
Class experience
Each lesson focuses on very simple, everyday vocabulary that young learners will have the opportunity to use at home. A manageable number of vocabulary words are introduced in each lesson and then used in simple sentences to facilitate retention. For examples, one lesson might introduce 5 nouns or so, such as "ball," "table," chair," "book," and "cup." After reviewing these words in the colorful and engaging Powerpoint presentation, which includes lots of pictures, I use the words and phrases...
"Dr. Chris" has a Ph.D. from the Jewish Theological Seminary and has taught various languages to students of all ages and at all levels of learning, and he holds a certification in Spanish by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. He also teaches Arabic and Hebrew for Outschool.
