"¡Hola estudiantes! My name is Susana Lezcano, and I'm a Spanish teacher and author from Madrid, Spain. From a very young age, I fell in love with the beauty of the Spanish language, and my passion for it has only grown stronger with time. When I moved to America at 17, I discovered that many Americans shared my love for the language, and I knew that teaching Spanish was my calling.

Over the years, I have developed a curriculum that caters to all ages and levels of proficiency in Spanish. After teaching on Outschool for just one year, I was fully booked, teaching eight hours a day! It was then that I realized that I needed a team of awesome Spanish teachers who share my passion for teaching and love for the language.

And so, Spanish the Fun Way Academy was born - a place where we teach Spanish in a fun and engaging way, helping students of all ages to learn and appreciate this beautiful language. Homework Offered
Vocabulary and grammar practice exercises: These can be completed individually and should take no more than 10-15 minutes each day to complete.

Reading assignments: Learners can be assigned short articles or stories in Spanish to read independently, with a focus on comprehension and vocabulary acquisition. Reading assignments can vary in length depending on the level of the class, but should generally take no more than 30 minutes to complete.

Writing assignments: Learners can be assigned short writing prompts in Spanish to practice their written expression and reinforce their understanding of grammar and vocabulary. These can be completed individually and should take no more than 20-30 minutes each week.

Conversation practice: Learners can be encouraged to practice their speaking skills outside of class by having conversations with family or friends in Spanish, or by participating in online language exchange programs. These activities can be done individually or in pairs, and should be done for at least 10-15 minutes each day.

The amount and type of homework assigned can vary depending on the level and needs of the students, but in general, the aim is to reinforce and enhance the learning that takes place during class time.
Assessments Offered
Assessing learner progress is an important part of any language class, and there are several ways to do this:

Informal assessment: The teacher can use a variety of informal assessments to gauge student progress, such as listening and speaking activities, class participation, and in-class writing assignments.
Written reports: The teacher can provide written feedback on student work, such as essays or short written responses, with suggestions for improvement and areas of strength.
Progress reports: The teacher can provide periodic progress reports to the student and/or parents, outlining areas of improvement, areas for growth, and specific suggestions for how to continue progressing in the language.
End-of-course assessments: For longer courses, the teacher may administer an end-of-course assessment, such as a written exam or oral interview, to measure overall progress and proficiency in the language.
The specific method of assessment used will depend on the teacher's preferences, the needs of the students, and the length and goals of the course.
