Beginner Level
🇪🇸 Welcome to Spanish for Teens! In this class, learners will learn to hold a conversation, read, and write in the Spanish language. This class is taught 90% in Spanish with some English spoken in class. Students will develop listening comprehension skills and pronunciation. Although the first class may be a challenge, students will make great progress week after week and they will develop an ear for Spanish words and phrases as they will have a chance to listen and practice the language with the teacher and other students. Lessons will be taught by a professional, Spanish speaking teacher. Because this is a language class, students are required to have their cameras on for most of the class. Exceptions can be made occasionally, but cameras must be on regularly in order for the teacher to better assess pronunciation. 📖 Students will learn new phrases and vocabulary each week. Each lesson will include the following content: ✅ Practice introductions in Spanish ✅ Learn new vocabulary nouns and verbs. ✅ Learn verb conjugation. ✅ Learn new phrases which will incorporate the new vocabulary. 🌟 Students should keep a notebook for this class where they will write their daily vocabulary and phrases. The goal of this class is developing fluency in Spanish. Having a notebook for this class is highly advised. 📆 Weekly lesson themes: La casa y el vecindario (home and the neighborhood) La familia y los amigos (family and friends) La escuela (school) Los sentimientos (feelings) Los animales (animals) El supermercado (the supermarket) Las comidas (foods) Viajando por el mundo Note: This class is taught by a native speaker from Venezuela in an immersive environment. This means that most of the class will be conducted in Spanish in order to speed up the learning process. The teacher may answer questions when asked in English as well.
Learning Goals
At the end of each lesson, students will know 5 new Spanish vocabulary words and phrases. Students will learn a total 10 new words and 4 phrases every week.
