In this one-time class your learner will learn key vocabulary words as well as colors, numbers, shapes, and/or letter sounds in Spanish. All of our learning will incorporate a Christmas theme in a fun and engaging way!

Description

Class Experience

Welcome to Formas y Patrones de Navidad! Students will be encouraged to interact with the teacher and each other, both verbally and nonverbally, to help build their speaking and comprehension of the target language. 

We will begin class with a greeting and the days of the week, then incorporate songs, stories, and games to introduce/practice key words in Spanish, with a focus on shapes and patterns.

We will end class with a review of the skill focus and a goodbye song.

Students will learn the following shapes in Spanish:
circulo (circle)
corazon (heart)
triangulo (triangle)
estrella (star)
 
Students will learn to copy and extend AB, ABC, and ABB patterns.

Students will learn the following Christmas vocabulary words in Spanish:
árbol de Navidad (Christmas tree)
estrella (star)
regalo (gift)
campanas (bells)
natividad (nativity)
reno (reindeer)
adorno (ornament)
luces (lights)
corona (wreath)
ángel (angel)
medias de Navidad (Christmas stockings)

We will provide opportunities for both receptive and expressive language practice in Spanish.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
