Students will learn and establish a daily routine for talking about the calendar in Spanish and English. This will include basic math and literacy concepts in both languages. 

Dr. Vania Scarborough: 
Dr. Vania is an experienced, bilingual, compassionate, and creative Spanish teacher with over one decade of teaching experience including higher education instruction, tutoring in Spanish, and virtual language instruction. Dr. Scarborough is a native Spanish speaker with a Postgraduate Degree from the International University of Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain, and a DDS from a prestigious university in South America. This, coupled to her ample linguistic experience as a professional Spanish translator, interpreter, and proofreader are the reasons behind Dr. Scarborough’s superb reading, writing and linguistic skills in Spanish. In fact, it is her deep love and knowledge of Spanish grammar, and a genuine vocation of service, which thoroughly inform all her teaching and allow her to provide all her Spanish students with a highly professional and effective Spanish language immersion learning experience.  

Lounis K. - Guest Teacher
Teaches: Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, English and Arabic
Mr. Lounis is a proud polyglot and teaches 6 languages. Lounis graduated with a degree in Interpreting and Translation.  Lounis began his teaching career preparing many students for different tests such as the TOEIC. Lounis intends on teaching the four basic language skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening) as well as language test preparation. Lounis enjoys going for walks, cooking, playing soccer, watching movies, and spending time with his family. He looks forward to meeting all his students!

Frequency: included
Details: Learner progress will be assessed daily during each lesson as the teacher sees and hears that the student has become independent in reciting the information learned during the calendar routine. Students will be able to ask and answer questions in both languages. Students will have individual turns to demonstrate progress and understanding. Parents can also assess their own child's progress as they become more independent during their participation in class as well as how they are using learned information outside of class.
