In this 8- week Spanish class which meets weekly, learners will begin their journey in the Spanish Beginners Series Part-1 through imitation, practice and repetition to learn Spanish and be introduced to the basic concepts of Spanish grammar. Students will be learning verbs and groupings of Spanish vocabulary each class to be able to create sentences and begin to respond conversationally. Each class will focus on a group of words for your learner to practice and use as well as reviewing vocabulary learned in previous classes. It will be an absolute pleasure to encourage your learner in their acquisition of the Spanish language.
I have a Masters in Education and am a licensed teacher in English, Spanish, and English as a Second Language for K - 12. I have taught children from preschool through high school for over 25 years with experience in the classroom, homeschool classroom, online classroom, and community education. I have also taught not only in the United States, but in Mexico as well.
There will be some easy homework each week. Also, I suggest that 15-20 minutes should be spent daily on vocabulary to increase comprehension as we continue through the course.
Pencil/pen and paper to have available. I'm will provide files for printouts with the material to review at home and have at the time of class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There will be no formal assessment.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
