Using a structured, yet dynamic approach, students will play games, sing songs, act out role-plays, engage in real-world conversations, and explore cultural traditions while progressively building their Spanish skills. Whether your child is learning Spanish for the first time or reinforcing previous knowledge, this course provides an interactive, fun, and immersive experience to help them speak, understand, and appreciate Spanish!

📚 What Will Be Taught?
This class will introduce students to essential beginner Spanish topics, including:
✅ Everyday vocabulary (greetings, colors, numbers, food, animals, family, school)
✅ Basic conversations (introductions, asking and answering questions, ordering food, making requests)
✅ Grammar fundamentals (verbs, sentence-building, adjectives, expressing preferences)
✅ Spanish culture & traditions (holidays, music, food, and famous Spanish-speaking countries)

Each lesson is designed to be interactive, engaging, and progressive, ensuring that students retain and apply what they learn in real-world situations.
📖 What Topics Will Be Covered?
Each week focuses on two lessons that introduce new words, phrases, and cultural aspects. The curriculum is structured as follows:
Weeks 1-4: Foundation (Greetings, Colors, Shapes, Numbers, Days of the Week, Emotions)
By the end of the course, students will have the ability to understand, speak, and use Spanish confidently in daily conversations while appreciating Hispanic cultures.

Each lesson follows a consistent and engaging structure:

Lesson 1:
Basic Greetings(Hola, Adios, Como estas?)
 In this lesson, students will learn essential Spanish greetings like "Hola," "Adiós," and "¿Cómo estás?" through role-playing, songs, and interactive activities. They will practice introducing themselves and responding to basic questions, helping them build confidence in real-world conversations. By the end, students will be able to greet others, say their names, and ask how someone is feeling in Spanish!

Lesson 2:
Colors(Rojo, Azul, Verde, etc.)
 Students will explore Spanish color names (rojo, azul, amarillo, etc.) through fun activities like color-matching games, songs, and storytelling. They will practice describing objects using colors in simple sentences (e.g., "La manzana es roja"). By the end, students will be able to identify and say colors in Spanish confidently while using them in short phrases.

Lesson 3:
Shapes(Círculo, Cuadrado, etc.)
 Students will learn common shapes in Spanish (círculo, cuadrado, triángulo, etc.) through interactive drawing and movement activities. They will identify, describe, and compare shapes using simple sentences like "El círculo es grande." By the end, students will be able to recognize and name shapes and begin forming basic descriptive sentences.

Lesson 4:
Numbers(1-10)
 This lesson introduces numbers 1-10 in Spanish through counting games, songs, and interactive exercises. Students will practice saying, recognizing, and writing numbers while playing engaging activities like counting objects and answering "¿Cuántos hay?" By the end, they will confidently count from 1 to 10 and use numbers in basic sentences.

Vicky will lead many of our classes. As a native Spanish speaker with 9 years of teaching experience, Vicky has taught in diverse environments, including nonprofits, high schools, and Outschool. She holds a bachelor’s degree and several Spanish teaching certificates. Her experience as both a Spanish teacher and soccer coach in Texas highlights her ability to connect with children and teens alike.

As a native Spanish speaker with a background in tutoring children and young adults, Lance has worked as a math tutor at a community college for three years and as a summer tutor for several years. He holds both an associate and bachelor’s degree and is dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment.
