Spanish for Kiddos – Learn Mis Números (Beginner Edition)
How high can your child count to? Can they count by two's or five's? What is their favorite number? Can they say it in Spanish? This class, which is a continuation in my series: “Spanish for Kiddos”, is designed to introduce your child to Spanish through numbers, counting and even in Spanish some simple math equations (+, -). Whether your child knows Spanish or not, the goal of this class is to have a fun, interactive environment where with my personalized help and guidance everyone will have the ability to count, do simple math and learn to say numbers phonetically all in Spanish. Also, with the utilization of activities, games, pictures and visual aids these will all facilitate your child having fun while at the same time learning a foreign language.
This class is part of my series called “Spanish for Kiddos” where through a variety of topics your child will join me on the wonderful journey of learning Spanish. ¡Vámonos! (Let’s go!)
During class your child will have lots of opportunities to participate and at the same time listen respectfully to others.
Below are just a sample of some of the things that will covered in the lesson in Spanish.
Sample Number list:
• 1-10; 11-20
• 2, 4, 6, 8, 10; 5, 10, 15, 20, 25;
A Few Sample Classroom Questions that we will learn in Spanish:
• How old are you?
• What is your favorite number?
Simple Math Equations we will learn in Spanish:
Addition: + = 5 + 3 = ?
= 9 + 2 = ?
Subtraction: - = 10 - 6 = ?
= 8 - 7 = ?

Parental Guidance
Parents are encouraged (not required) to be present during the "review" portion of the class for their child to demonstrate the vocabulary they just learnt in class in Spanish.
Supply List
An optional one-page sheet with a list of Numbers 0-20 (including how the numbers are said phonetically) and a few sentences is attached for your child to keep to practice before, during and/or after class.

¡Hola! Hello! My name is Le Schawn Ward from Canada, welcome parents and learners to my Outschool profile/bio.
Here on Outschool we are encouraged to teach what we are passionate about, not only IS Spanish one of my passions but also teaching and helping others is too.
Regardless of the subject, learning level or ability, my motto is: If you’re not having fun then you’re not learning! That is what you can expect for your child in ALL my classes, they will enjoy themselves while learning.
Helping others has always been something that brings me a lot of inner joy, so I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity on Outschool to combine my love for Spanish and with helping others to learn and to speak one of the most spoken and popular languages in the world!
Now let’s get down to the ‘nitty-gritty’. I have my bachelor's degree in Education, minoring in Language Education, hold both a TEFL and TESOL certification, have a background in theatre arts, TV and commercials and I am completely fluent speaking and writing Spanish. I also have extensive public speaking skills, having done so in front of crowds of over 3,000+ people!
Since 2002, I have been teaching children, youth and adults alike. In an online setting since 2018 I have been teaching children from ages 3-16 and to date have completed over 7,500 online classes totaling over 18,500 students! In my volunteer educational work, I have been teaching people of all different ages in Spanish since 2007.
Now that the ‘nitty-gritty is out of the way, I can’t wait to meet your child/children and let the fun begin!
