Can they say their name in Spanish? This class, which is a continuation in my series: “Spanish for Kiddos”, is designed to aid your child learn beginner Spanish with the help of jungle, farm and house animals. The goal of the class to create a fun, interactive classroom environment coupled with my personalized help and guidance where each child present will have the ability to recognize familiar animals, reproduce aloud each animal name and even use short sentences to express themselves. With the utilization of activities, pictures, props, illustrations and talk time, all of these combined together will facilitate your young child having fun while at the same time learning a foreign language. In my series called “Spanish for Kiddos” your child, through a variety of topics, will join me on the wonderful journey of learning Spanish. ¡Vámonos! (Let’s go!) Below are just a sample of some of the discussed in the lesson: Sample Classroom Questions: -My favorite animal is a(n) ______. -I like ______. Sample Classroom Games/Activities: -What sound does it make? -Let’s read! -Time to talk! During class your child will have lots of opportunities to participate and at the same time listen respectfully to others.
Learning Goals
Students in this class will have the ability to audibly express, collectively and independently in Spanish the name of a variety of jungle, farm and house animals and even try to use them in a short sentence.

Parental Guidance
Parents are encouraged (not required) to be present during the "review" portion of the class for their child to demonstrate the vocabulary they just learnt in class in Spanish.
Supply List
An optional one-page excel sheet with a list of the animals and a few sentences is attached for your child to keep to practice before, during and/or after class.

¡Hola! Hello! My name is Le Schawn Ward from Canada, welcome parents and learners to my Outschool profile/bio.
Here on Outschool we are encouraged to teach what we are passionate about, not only IS Spanish one of my passions but also teaching and helping others is too.
Regardless of the subject, learning level or ability, my motto is: If you’re not having fun then you’re not learning! That is what you can expect for your child in ALL my classes, they will enjoy themselves while learning.
Helping others has always been something that brings me a lot of inner joy, so I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity on Outschool to combine my love for Spanish and with helping others to learn and to speak one of the most spoken and popular languages in the world!
Now let’s get down to the ‘nitty-gritty’. I have my bachelor's degree in Education, minoring in Language Education, hold both a TEFL and TESOL certification, have a background in theatre arts, TV and commercials and I am completely fluent speaking and writing Spanish. I also have extensive public speaking skills, having done so in front of crowds of over 3,000+ people!
Since 2002, I have been teaching children, youth and adults alike. In an online setting since 2018 I have been teaching children from ages 3-16 and to date have completed over 7,500 online classes totaling over 18,500 students! In my volunteer educational work, I have been teaching people of all different ages in Spanish since 2007.
Now that the ‘nitty-gritty is out of the way, I can’t wait to meet your child/children and let the fun begin!
