Description

Class Experience

In my Spanish For Equestrians mini series, traditional Spanish grammar topics are taught in fun, engaging classes with a targeted focus on vocabulary and expressions needed to effectively communicate in everyday barn scenarios. Students will further their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in Spanish while simultaneously expanding their general knowledge of horses and horse care.

This class is taught in English.

Learners will acquire essential Spanish grammar and vocabulary skills while using common expressions and phrases that come up in everyday barn scenarios. Traditional Spanish grammar will be taught using targeted horse related phrases and expressions. Fundamental grammar will be incorporated in each lesson so that learners will be able to communicate in complete sentences. Students will learn to conjugate commonly used verbs at the barn in a variety of tenses mimicking real life scenarios.

I am a certified Spanish teacher with over seventeen years experience teaching middle school and high school Spanish. I have also been an equestrian for many years and own my own small farm with three horses. I am a dressage rider and adult amateur competitor with the United States Dressage Federation and often have to communicate at the barn with Spanish speakers.

Homework can be assigned to students upon request.
