Teacher expertise and credentials
My name is Yency Castillo, I'm Dominican, I live in Connecticut. I'm agronomic engineer with master’s degree in science. I'm native Spanish speaker. I love to teach and work with kids and teenager. I am teaching Spanish
I taught math and biology in an elementary private school in Dominican Republic for four years, and also, I taught kids and teenager on agriculture topics for one year, and bakery for one year too. I had the opportunity to teach statistic to college students in my country in special summer courses, and I was teaching assistant in the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez campus, where I taught biometry, basic soils and horticulture classes. I’m teaching Spanish for kids and teenager since August 2019.
I always try to use funny activities to teach my students because those resources have a positive effect on motivation and determine how much kids learn and retain. I am mother of two kids and I try to teach all students the same way that I want other people teaching my kids.
