I am an interactive teacher with the goal of making learning both fun and educational. Our class will include interactive discussion, learning games, songs and practice speaking. Each class will begin with a warm up/greeting. We will then discuss the previous lesson/homework if applicable. Once new information is introduced via class lecture, google slides and at times video clips, we will practice the content using whole class as well as small group practice, songs and interactive games. Students will be encouraged to participate in order to process and retain new vocabulary and language concepts. This will allow the learner both guided practice as well as independent thinking before the end of class. Students will be encouraged to complete assignments before the start of each new class. Students will have the opportunity to practice material individually by participating in interactive learning during class as well as the opportunity to complete short review assignments at the end of each class. These online classroom activities will allow students immediate individual feedback via the vocabulary specific games Kahoot and Quizlet live. Review assignments at the end of class will be short in length and should never take more than 15 minutes to complete. Please know I am here to help and welcome your communication with me. I will be available for any questions you or your student may have on the Outschool platform. I will do my best to respond to every email within 24 hours. I am excited to work with your child and hope he or she has fun while learning Spanish as a second language.
